Tiro Health is a modern digital platform built to make medical form creation and completion faster and more efficient. It helps healthcare professionals by replacing outdated paper-based workflows with a robust digital solution. Tiro Health minimizes errors, saves valuable time, and simplifies documentation, making their daily tasks smoother and more accurate.
Paper forms took a lot of time and made it easy to make mistakes. Healthcare professionals don’t have much time to spend on complicated forms, and the lack of flexibility makes things more difficult. Our goal was to make a system that’s faster, simpler, and more flexible so they can focus more on their patients.
Our team was responsible for developing the front end of Tiro Health’s Form Configurator App, a tool that simplifies medical form creation and completion. Our task was to design an accessible and efficient user interface that helps medical workers to easily and quickly create and complete medical forms on a daily basis.

Healthcare professionals needed a system that was easy to use, efficient, and accessible. The challenge was to design an interface that made form creation and completion effortless, cutting down on repetitive tasks while ensuring quick adoption. The system had to be fast, intuitive, and work seamlessly with the chosen tech stack (ShadCN/UI with Tailwind CSS) to maintain a smooth experience for users of all skill levels.
Before diving into development, we worked closely with the team to map out technical requirements and limitations. This collaboration led us to choose shadcn/ui components styled with Tailwind CSS, ensuring a smooth, flexible WCAG 2.2-based design system. The POUR principle (Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust) was central to our documentation. We applied the CUPID method by Hans van de Bruggen to prioritize long-term usability. This approach ensures users can efficiently navigate the system over time without unnecessary steps, improving user-friendliness in the long run. We crafted a user-friendly interface that incorporated implemented presets, expressions, shortcuts, and a command palette as accelerators. It helps us keep the experience intuitive while staying aligned with the technical framework. Our development team was actively involved at every stage, making sure everything was both visually appealing and technically sound.
On the technical side, building a flexible drag-and-drop form configurator was no small feat. It needed to support different layouts like tables and tree structures while remaining simple to use. Another major challenge was integrating the system with the FHIR standard, ensuring seamless and accurate data exchange. Additionally, we had to develop a standalone form renderer that could work independently while still integrating smoothly with other platforms, making it versatile and easy to implement elsewhere.
On the development side, we built an advanced UI with intuitive configuration tools to support seamless form structuring. We implemented FHIR-compliant data integration to facilitate standardized data handling across healthcare systems. The standalone form renderer was developed as a modular, reusable package, making it easy for external platforms to embed and integrate Tiro Health’s forms while maintaining performance and flexibility.
Let's discuss your business objectives and the project's technical challenges
We took a hands-on, user-first approach to building Tiro Health, making sure the platform worked exactly how healthcare professionals needed it to. Our team started by digging deep into the medical staff's pain points in using digital forms, identifying what slowed them down and how we could make things smoother.
By collaborating closely with stakeholders, we built an intuitive and accessible system that balanced ease of use with powerful functionality. We followed an agile workflow, continuously refining the platform based on real-time feedback while ensuring it met industry standards. We stay actively involved in project maintenance and further development.
We successfully delivered an innovative, high-performance solution that makes managing medical forms quicker and easier. With the new system, healthcare professionals can build and complete forms in less time, using a simple drag-and-drop tool and flexible layouts. Manual data entry errors have dropped significantly, making documentation more accurate and reliable.
The system is designed to work smoothly with other platforms so healthcare teams can integrate it into their existing processes without hassle. Accessibility was also a priority, ensuring that all users, regardless of ability, can navigate and use the platform comfortably. The result is a solution that makes everyday tasks simpler, improves accuracy, and adapts to the changing needs of healthcare professionals.
