C-Me is an innovative platform designed to reimagine the way job seekers present their qualifications and experiences through dynamic video resumes. The platform empowers users to create professional video CVs and enhance their chances of standing out in competitive job markets. For employers, C-Me offers the opportunity to create video job posts to get more engagement from the candidates.
The primary challenge was to develop an innovative platform to make video job posts, video CVs and a virtual interview room to practice interview questions. The system had to be driven with the latest video analysis tools and be capable of recording videos and providing detailed, actionable feedback to users. This feedback needed to include the identification of overly long pauses, detection of recruiter-preferred keywords, and assessment of the overall sentiment and vibe of the applicant's content. The solution had to be cost-effective.
One major challenge was the absence of publicly available technology capable of analyzing videos and delivering comprehensive feedback in a consistent and constructive manner. Existing tools could not offer a full analysis report within a single system. Furthermore, there was no accessible knowledge or resources on how to develop a system that could integrate various open-source solutions effectively. This gap in available technology and knowledge meant that the TechMagic team had to start from scratch, creating innovative solutions to address these issues. They had to brainstorm and develop novel ideas to build a cohesive system that met the needs of video analysis and feedback, overcoming significant technical and conceptual hurdles along the way.
To tackle all the challenges and address technological uncertainties, TechMagic embarked on an ambitious R&D project using the Agile project management methodology, which allowed for iterative development and continuous problem-solving. The solution involved integrating open-source libraries to perform comprehensive video analysis.
The AI code was developed using such open-source libraries as AWS Transcribe (later moved to OpenAi Whisper) for converting speech to text for script analysis, AWS Comprehend for extracting sentiment from text, OpenCV and DLib for detecting eye movements and engagement, Librosa for detecting periods of silence and categorizing pauses, and Word Count Calculation for providing feedback on speech pace.
The core team of C-Me consists of professional experts. Traditional methods lacked comprehensive, real-time feedback, leaving job seekers unprepared and at a disadvantage in the competitive job market.
